One belongs to us, Portsmouth Museums & Records Service and is looked after for us by the City of Portsmouth Preserved Transport Depot, 52 Broad St, Portsmouth. This is a volunteer-run museum, open gratis, only on the afternoon of the second and last Sunday of each month. The vehicle is an AEC 661T, supplied to the council in 1934, with an English Electric H50R body and electrical equipment. It was numbered 1, later 201, registration RV 4649. It is presently being returned to its original livery after conservat ion to its front. The other is ERV 938, a BUT 9611T built 1950-1, with a Burlingham H52R body and English Electric equipment, I believe. I recollect that it was preserved by a group with facilities on an airfield in East Anglia in the early 1990s, but may well be wrong. Phil Marfleet of CPPTD, tel/fax 023 9273 6738, may be albeto confirm its whereabouts. Yours sincerely John Stedman ********************************************************************** This footnote confirms that this email message has been swept for the presence of computer viruses and none were found.
