From: Tibbles, Paul (ESD) [mailto:Paul.Tibbles@defra.gsi.gov.uk] 03 location is a very familiar one - the Cardiff Corporation Depot on the Newport Road. I visited this location in January 1963 (very cold winter) not long after the route to Margam was replaces by buses. This route ran in the right hand side direction of the depot. The large building on the right is the electricity power station which also fed the system. When I arrived at the shed one of 200-210 (AEC - 1939ish) batch of trolleybuses was parked outside the shed and had fitted to it coloured lights along the side for the previous month's Christmas celebrations, and I was given a ride around the depot perimeter. This kind of decoration may have been unique.
