A little more on the proposed Trolleyway. It's entirely on private way from the Dome bus station to Sainsbury's car park which has it's own bus stop area. There is plenty of space either side of it leaving plenty of scope for widening or trolley-stops. It passes a new housing developement (Millennium Village) thats just started, the sign on the contractors board reads "1700 new homes". There is no obstruction at the southern end to stop the present alignment sweeping out eastward along the Woolwich Rd.This road has just recently been made very much wider and is now a dual-carraigeway so has room for segregated right-of-way,but presumably would then require R.Inspectorate fees. Such a route has a wonderfull destination but comes from nowhere in particular,as a result very limited patronage. But what I wonder was the intention of the guided bus-way originaly? The Dome is shortly to be sold to someone for something, perhaps funding could come from them as a ride on the NEW trolleycoach could be an attraction in it's own right. TfL must surely have a budget for funding projects or they will achieve very little.
