The pictures on this web page,
http://www.cyberpictures.net/Keith%20Farrow%20EATM%202006/, are reproduced by the kind permission of the photographer
Keith Farrow and particularly concentrate on London trolleybuses which were out in force for the EATM 2006 event.
London trolleybus 1253 was brought up from London through the acquiescence of the Covent Garden Museum and a generous
benefactor who meet all towing costs for the outward and return journeys. The pictures contain several shots of a simulated
service in London on a Sunday afternoon in 1960 and will invoke memories for some site visitors.
Significant page changes appear in the list below. The most recent is at the top and eventually the bottom older items are deleted. Return to this listing using the "What's New button" on the green panel. As this page is currently being revamped, no real information is shown here for the present time.
Providing new material, and updating pages, is hindered excessively while ensuring that every
page on this site appears as intended when using any of the browsers, shown on the blue panel, under Microsoft's Xp
operating system. The arrival of Xp Service Pack 2 has seen tried and tested features falling foul of new
enhanced security features or when end users alter, or disable, features that
are assumed to exist, such as JavaScript. Web pages on this site now meet W3C standards and should render without
errors.
If you do notice something that is not quite right, please
I have done the very best that my technical ability permits [with a fair amount of assistance from
fellow enthusiasts], and request your indulgence if certain pages are corrupted. Hopefully these will be few and far
between so that your enjoyment of this site is not unduly spoilt.
The dominate position of Internet Explorer remains, but if you want to try the features of another browser, the blue
panel contains hyperlinks to sites where these alternative browsers can be downloaded for free. Any, or all, can be
used in parallel with Internet Explorer.
A genuine attempt has been made to make this site non-browser specific but extreme difficulties
surface while attempting to achieve this aim with WebTV equipment. HTML element attributes defined by WebTV are often
different from main stream browsers and some of the less used elements are simply not available. However, it is planned
to make a small number of tweaks so that the site is more user friendly with WebTV, but only as each page requires an
update. Watch for later announcements on this matter.
Similar problems
with Pocket PCs are present but as these devices are more powerful than WebTV equipment the rendering of this
site is reasonably good and with JavaScript present, access to the larger scale images is also possible. A full evaluation
of a Pocket PCs capabilities has not been made and therefore it is unknown, for now, what changes are necessary to make to
this site more acceptable for this kind of device.
